According to SR's managing director, Ron Bond: "The Woodtronic - our first investment in CNC machining - will enable us to maintain our reputation of providing customers with finishes of the highest quality.
"It will also be the springboard to an expanded customer base, attracting additional companies that also regard longer blade life as central to their profitability." Ron Bond also points out that the Woodtronic's sturdiness, quality of finish and overall value for money were the selection characteristics that put it ahead of competitor machines.
Woodtronics are supplied as standard by Walter GB of Redditch with a series of software programs covering all tooth blade geometries - including the Brunswick geometry, where all types of deflection shoulders and chip grooves can be ground.
The machines also feature Walter's Free programming package.
This allows operators to quickly and easily create programs for any tooth shape and combinations of tooth shapes within the specified diameter.
