With a 32 per cent increase in order value in first quarter, 2004, against fourth quarter 2003, tool system specialist Walter GB is viewing the MACH exhibition with added relish.

With a 32 per cent increase in order value in Q1 2004 against Q4 2003, tool system specialist Walter GB of Redditch is viewing the MACH exhibition with added relish especially since the show will also see the UK public launch of two new, highly-productive and innovative Walter products - the Helitronic Vision five-axis tool grinder and the Xtra.tec tool programme Managing director Gerry O'Hagan says the Q1 order intake embraced a variety of machines and a wide range of tooling (milling, drilling and turning) from customers in the aerospace, automotive, and pump and valve sectors in particular

He adds that March's order income was one of the best in the Walter Group's history.

"With the Helitronic Vision offering tool grinding productivity gains of up to 50 per cent, and Xtra.tec being capable of halving machining times on steel workpieces, we have ensured that our MACH display is of appeal to companies of any size and with every budget," he adds.

Walter GB's MACH 2004 stand is highlighting the comprehensiveness of the company's 'tool system supply' philosophy, with tooling (including Quartec, Tiger.tec as well as Xtra.tec), tool measurement machines (Heli Toolcheck), and the TDM suite of tool management systems, for example.

MACH 2004 - April 19-23 - NEC Birmingham, UK.
