Walter GB Redditch has announced the new NM6 indexable turning insert geometry with negative basic shape and corner radii of 0.8mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm and 2.4mm With CVD coatings for P20 and P30 applications, the inserts are designed for interrupted cutting on medium steels at cutting depths of 0.8mm to 7mm and at feed rates of 0.4mm and 0.6 mm/rev

A double-sided version is also available, and with twice the number of cutting edges compared with conventional, competing tools it can reduce tool costs considerably while also maintaining high process reliability.
