T W Ward CNC Machinery's continual expansion strategy has taken another step forward with the recruitment of three news Area Sales Managers - Iain Spink, Dave Morgan and Steven Fletcher - and the appointment of Cheryl Brock as Personal Assistant to MD, Simon Whitworth.

Aged 37 and based in Arbroath, Iain Spink is Northern Area Sales Manager for Scotland and the North of England.

He has been involved with machine tools and production engineering since the age of 16 as an apprentice with Giddings and Lewis-Fraser.

Iain has wide knowledge of shopfloor and QA skills as well as production and design engineering duties.

More recently, he has been involved in application sales and area sales managerial roles.

Our Area Sales Manager for Yorkshire and Lancashire, Dave Morgan, is 48 years of age and has extensive knowledge of CNC machining having been involved in the industry for over 20 years.

He is based at Selby in North Yorks.

In addition to expertise in CNC projects and production techniques involving both CNC lathes and machining centres, Dave has also been involved in CNC probing system sales and sales management roles.

As Area Sales manager for the Midlands and the South West, 41-year-old Steven includes co-ordinate measuring machine sales and applications alongside his knowledge of large CNC machines.

Formerly a Rolls-Royce apprentice, he is based in Derby.

Aged 30 years, Cheryl's background includes similar PA roles to a sales and marketing director, and more recently the managing director, of two major house building and retail companies in the Sheffield area.

A keen keep-fit fan, Cheryl describes her new role as "a complete change of direction" in terms of industry sector, but one that already "is proving a rewarding challenge".

They join Ward CNC at a time when the Sheffield-based company has increased staffing levels by 20 per cent, expanded its product portfolio and re-emphasised to the blue chip customer base its inherent customer support and service, and turnkey engineering skills.
