C-axis, live tooling, sub-spindle and a larger than usual spindle bore all make this turning centre a highly flexible, value-for-money machine for bar work up to 65mm.

C-axis, live tooling, sub-spindle and a larger than usual spindle bore all make the Kia Super Turn 21LMSB turning centre a highly flexible, value-for-money machine for bar work up to 65mm.

Of one-piece box design for rigid operation, and with Fanuc 18T CNC, the 21LMSB is one of a wide range of Kia CNC turning machines available exclusively from Ward CNC of Sheffield.

The machine features a 12-station bi-directional turret and a driven tool speed range of 20 to 4,400 revs/min from a 3.7/2.2kW motor.

Its main spindle motor of 15/11kW produces 25 to 4,000 revs/min, while the 3.7/2.2kW sub-spindle - which indexes in 5 (degree) increments - reaches 30 to 6,000 revs/min.

With a maximum swing of 550mm, a cross slide of 350mm and a distance between centres of 530mm, the Super Kia Turn 21LMSB has an X-axis (cross) travel of 220mm and a Z-axis (longitudinal) travel of 550mm.

Rapid traverse rates are 36m/min.

As standard, the machine features Q-Setter for quick tool compensation, torque limiter on X and Z axes, 250mm three-jaw hollow spindle hydraulic chuck on main spindle, as well as main and sub-parts catcher.
