Claimed to be one of the most versatile heavy duty machine tools on the market, a floor borer completes work pieces in one set-up, from heavy cutting to semi-finishing and finishing.

The FR-12.000 CNC floor borer machine is one of the most versatile machines in the market, said Soraluce, Spain It completes a machining process in one set-up - from heavy cutting to semi-finishing and finishing

This versatility translates into cost savings for the customer.

Equipped with digital numerical control, Heidenhain iTNC-530, and digital motors, the FR-12.000 CNC floor borer has rapid traverse rates in X-, Y- and Z-axis of 25m/min and feed rates of 5-10.000mm/min.

The FR-12.000 has an orthogonal indexing head of 37kW and 4.000 rev/min.

There are two indexing planes: one vertical to the spindle axis and the other at 90 deg - both positioning every 1 deg.

Other features are as follows.

* Longitudinal traverse X-axis: 12000mm.

* Vertical traverse Y-axis: 3600mm.

* Ram travel Z-axis 1600mm.

* Horizontal fixed boring head of 37kW/4.000 rev/min.

* Automatic tool changing system for 80 tools.

* Operator's platform with independent vertical and transversal movements.
