Takisawa said that the EX-322 is a 3-axis version of the company's highly successful EX-122/H.
The EX-322 has a C-axis main spindle and driven tools.
Its outline specification includes a swing over the bed of 750mm, over the cross slide of 560mm and a distance between centres of 1820mm.
Standard turning diameter is 450mm, maximum turning diameter is 610mm and maximum turning length is 1530mm.
Tailstock travel is quoted by Ward as 1400mm and tailstock quill travel as 200mm.
* Takes 7in bar - capable of handling 184mm diameter bar, the EX-322 has a 12-station turret, spindle speed of 12-1,200 rev/min from the 30/37 kW main spindle motor and fast rates in X- and Z-axis of 18 and 22m/min respectively.
Ward said that the machine is the latest addition to the comprehensive range of Takisawa Taiwan cost-effective CNC lathes and turning centres.
It complements the company's extensive range of Hankook CNC turning machines, Hartford machining centres, Soraluce milling machines, Toshulin vertical turning lathes and Union boring and milling machines.
