Weber Marking Systems has manufactured its 1,000th 5200 Series Print and Apply Labeller, just three years after the machine was launched.
The new machine offers a choice of both side and wrap-around labelling, to suit a variety of different pack shapes and sizes.
The system can be configured simply and swiftly to precise individual specifications with a choice of base conveyor types, transport belts and chains, depending on the application.
It can also incorporate hot foil, ink jet or laser coders for the overprinting of variable information such as lot codes or best before dates onto labels.
A host of special features include a closed and stable base construction and integrated control box to ensure maximum reliability of operation and accuracy of label placement, and a rugged and durable construction that can operate in the harshest of environments and is easy to clean.
A user-friendly swivelling LCD operation panel allows simple touch control of all the major functions and provides vital production information and data.
The system can also be integrated with other production and packing line equipment.
Speeds of up to 350 products per minute for side labelling and 100 per minute in wrap-around mode are achievable.
