Marker system provides crisp text and graphics

Labelling systems upgraded to celebrate
Weber Marking Systems has manufactured its 1,000th 5200 Series Print and Apply Labeller, just three years after the machine was launched.
The system includes functions formerly limited to heavier-duty equipment.
Designed, engineered, assembled and available only from Weber, the Model 2600Lt integrates Sato Corporation's brand new Lt408 direct-thermal/thermal-transfer print engine.
The unit prints 203 dpi text bar codes and graphic images at speeds up to 6in/s, and will dispense labels up to 4.25in wide and 6in in length.
Labels are printed in a cost-efficient, next-out mode, and instantly applied to cartons or products on the production or packaging line.
Utilising the tamp-blow method of application, a printed pressure-sensitive label is peeled from its liner and is retained by vacuum on the applicator's tamp pad.
The pad is then extended, the vacuum is reversed, and the label is blown on to the surface of a package from approximately 0.25in.
The Model 2600Lt includes standard features and options usually available only on higher-cost, higher-duty systems.
Standard features include durable anodized aluminium construction, an external user interface with LED and LCD displays, inputs/outputs to facilitate the use of product sensors and other options, plus a stepper-driven rewind for precise control.
Options include a variable stroke sensor, label-on-pad sensor, and an adjustable stand.
The Weber Model 2600Lt operates with Weber's print-apply software, which simplifies label formatting, editing and printing.
Weber also manufactures a wide variety of stock and custom pressure-sensitive label materials.
