Running across two days at PEMEC 2006 will be a series of facilities and premises management seminars.

Running across two days at PEMEC 2006, a new regional exhibition and educational event taking place at Newbury Exhibition Centre on the 25-26th October 2006, will be a series of facilities and premises management seminars Part of a comprehensive educational programme, the seminars will include information on energy efficiency, maintenance products and plant, process and control

On day one at 10am and day two at 11am, ESTA (Energy Systems Trade Association) will look at 'Energy Efficiency in the Workplace' and provide practical information about energy surveys that can assist in saving energy and money in all types of businesses.

Additionally, ESTA plan to answer the 'why's, what's, where's and when's' about energy surveys and demonstrate how they can bring tangible benefits to a company.

This is followed, on day one, at 11am by the Manufacturing Advisory Service South East who will be discussing lean tools and techniques and looking at how embracing lean thinking can increase competitiveness, reduce waste, shorten lead times, reduce inventory and add value for customers.

There is a second opportunity to attend this seminar on day two at 10am.

At midday (on the 25th October), FMS Systems will be examining how Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) can help to discover the 'hidden factory' and why an OEE measurement is so critical.

Their seminar will also reveal how to discover the real loss structure and look at real-time data capture.

Between 1 and 2pm, Plymovent will present a seminar entitled 'Air treatment and control', in which they will address the issues of controlling airborne pollutants in an industrial environment, as well as outlining the solutions available from the traditional to the radical.

Day one's program concludes with 'Maintenance Managed - A Fresh Approach' at 2pm.

Here the SoftSols Group will look at why most maintenance management software projects fail to deliver the promised return on investment.

The seminar will then explore the best practice for implementing a computerized maintenance system and discuss how the technology can deliver significant savings.

The final session on Day two, (Thursday 26th October, beginning at 12noon), is hosted by Envirowise who will focus on resource efficiency and its impact on the bottom line.

The presentation will discuss how resource efficiency is not just an environmental initiative, but can also be an important business process that could potentially reduce an organisation's costs.

Attendance at any of these seminars is free but attendees are advised to register in advance on the website.

PEMEC 2006 is easy to visit as it is located at the Newbury Exhibition Centre, just off the M4 motorway on the Newbury Racecourse site.

The site is easily reached from London, the South Coast, the M4 corridor and the South West.

The exhibition centre has ample free parking and an on-site railway station.
