Wittmann UK, leading automation supplier and materials handling specialist, has appointed Brian Clift as a new member of its CAD/CAM automated and materials handling systems design team.

Clift has 28 years' experience in systems engineering - building from drawings to final assembly and test

Previously with Vision Controls, Wellingborough, designing and building vision inspection systems, Clift began his career at Vauxhall Motors, Dunstable.

His career in manufacturing includes spells with PAF Systems, S and A Services, Smiths Containers, and Hawkes Technical.

Wittmann is one of the world's leading producers of robots, automation, ancillary and mould heating and chilling equipment for plastics and other manufacturing industries, with production plants in the USA as well as Austria, Hungary and the UK.
