Polymetric material conveying links two
loaders
Integrated polymeric material conveying is available for up to two loaders - one to convey material to the drying hopper and the other to convey dried material to the moulding machine.
The complete line of Wittmann compact dryers for polymeric materials can now be equipped with integrated material conveying for up to two loaders - one to convey material to the drying hopper and the other to convey dried material to the machine The portable drying and conveying option is available on the successful Drymax compact dryer models C30, C60 and 100 from Wittmann and is perfectly suited for the flexible supply of dried material to injection moulding machines

The material throughput of the integrated PDC offers up to 240kg/h (530 lb/h) and 200kg/h (440 lb/h) for one activated loader.
Drymax compact dryers with integrated material conveying are indicated by the abbreviation PDC (Portable Drying Conveyor).
Drymax PDC dryers consist of a standard dryer equipped with a single drying hopper and an additional maintenance free, 3-phase conveying blower.

Portable plastics dryer optimises conditions
Portable dryer with advanced valves and integrated microprocessor control on the dual hopper configuration offers for optimum drying efficiency for plastics processing.
This blower is protected by a central, easy-to-reach filter and supplies - in vacuum mode - the loader mounted on the drying hopper with new material.
In pressure mode the 'Just-In-Time' (JIT) loader, mounted on the injection moulding machine, is supplied with dried material using dry air conveying.
After each drying cycle the conveying line can be purged to avoid re-moisturisation of any remaining material in the line.
Both the loader on the drying hopper and the JIT loader on the moulding machine are included in the PDC package.
In order to guarantee optimised material supply to the moulding machine, the JIT loader is equipped with a minimum material buffer.
Any material requirements of the JIT loader are treated with highest priority to avoid material shortages, even if this results in the temporary interruption of the less critical conveying cycle to the drying hopper.
Both loaders can be individually activated or deactivated as required with buttons conveniently located on the front of the dryer control panel.
The conveying blower can accommodate distances of 4m (13ft) with a height difference of 2m (6.5ft) each.
This ensures fast emptying and filling of the drying hoppers before and after material changes and a secure material supply.
The numerous functions of the Drymax PDC dryer are easily accessible from the uniform Wittmann user interface on the front of the dryer.
The uniform interface across miscellaneous peripheral equipment platform, which ranges from Tempro temperature controllers, battery dryers, Silmax drying hoppers to the Drymax compact line, allows a trouble-free operation of the units and short training times.
