Sandwich plates made in large sizes Simultaneous support of several fixtures allow better use of measuring machines, says Witte Bleckede Witte Bleckede is now offering aluminium sandwich plates, mostly used as base plates for measuring fixtures, with dimensions of up to 10m by 2,4m in a single plate Several medium and large sized fixtures can be fixed on to them at the same time which makes setting up easier and improves the working capacity of measuring machines
Compared to conventional plates, these sandwich type plates offer a lightweight alternative in spite of being extremely strong.
Because of the low weight the large format sandwich plates can be moved relatively easily.
This means requirements on capacity of motorised lifting and carrying apparatus inside preparation or measuring rooms are reduced.
