Wardjet provides free live technical support

A Wightman Stewart product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jul 26, 2010

Wightman Stewart has announced that Wardjet is providing free remote access, live video and voice-over IP (VOIP) support as a feature on all machines fitted with a Wardjet X-Classic or XL controller.

Operated online from the controller's display screen through the Wardjet website, support technicians can, with the customer's permission, use these features to remotely access a waterjet machine.

Using this technology, Wardjet users can receive immediate real-time technical support 24/7.

Once logged on, the Wardjet engineers, based at the company's US head office in Ohio, interrogate the Wardjet machine's control software to diagnose and correct any machine performance issues.

This service reduces costs by almost eliminating the need for site visits.

The X-Classic and XL controllers include a built-in webcam for live video support right at the controller and a PCI wireless card for connection to the customer's existing wireless network.

In the UK, Wardjet operates in conjunction with UK agents Wightman Stewart, which will supply and install any required replacement parts identified through the Wardjet live support.

This technical support can be useful for machine training, demonstrations and cutting evaluation purposes for customers looking to investigate new cutting routines and materials.
