MMA 150A welder generator weighs just
34kg
An air-cooled MMA welder generator - rated at 150A/60% duty cycle - weighs only 34kg, and has chopped DC output that allows it to produce high quality smooth welding characteristics.
Wilkinson Star, the Worsley, Manchester, UK-based industrial equipment supplier and sole UK representative for MOSA engine driven welding and generating sets has launched a new MOSA petrol driven, portable, air cooled, MMA welder generator - MagicWeld MagicWeld is designed specifically for use in agriculture, construction, rail, shipbuilding and general maintenance industries, in fact anywhere on-site and is especially suited for the hire market It already has Network Rail certification meeting their technical and safety criteria for use on rail maintenance and other engineering work

Diesel multi-voltage low noise AC generators
Wilkinson Star has announced the launch of the MOSA GE15 PSX-EAS and GE20 PSX-EAS diesel driven multi-voltage low noise AC generators.
It weighs only 34kg and is rated 150A at 60% duty cycle.
The chopped DC output is a feature that allows it to produce high quality smooth welding characteristics using most electrodes including cellulosic.
Other features include infinitely variable adjustment of the welding current providing optimum arc control, 110V CTE 1.5kW auxiliary DC power output for use with fixed speed power tools and other ancillary equipment, including lighting.
Powered by a Honda four-stroke GX200 2,000-4,000 rev/min petrol engine, it has a running time of 3.5h at 60% loading.
'Auto Idle' automatically reduces the engine speed to idle after 20s inactivity, whilst the noise level is 74dB(A) conforming to EC levels of 99LWA at 7m.
Options, which also have the UK's Network Rail certification, include welding cables, an inline digital welding amp and volt meter allowing verification of the welding output at the point of use; a PAR600-RW parallel welding control box to connect two MagicWeld together for a higher welding output and a heavy duty 300A Semi automatic wire feed unit for MIG welding, whilst a wheeled trolley will be available from September 2006.
Other MOSA welding equipment from Wilkinson Star, which have Network Rail certification, include the TS200-RW 200A petrol driven, air cooled welder generator and TS300-RW 300A diesel, powered air cooled, welder generator.
