Engine-driven arc welders meet EEC regulations

Engine-driven arc welding sets for site work are silenced to meet EEC regulations and have DC output producing smooth high quality welding characteristics.

Wilkinson Star of Worsley, Manchester, UK and General Welding Supplies of Widnes, UK - suppliers to Carillion Rail - are exhibiting one diesel driven and two petrol driven, Network Rail approved (certificate number PA05/02503) welding/generating machines from their MOSA 'TS' series of DC Welders/AC Generators on stand number H31 at Railtex 07 at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, London, February 20-22, 2007.

094/007037) is a new Honda four-stroke GX200 petrol driven, portable, air cooled, MMA Welder Generator rated 150A at 60% duty cycle with a 110V CTE 1.5kW DC auxiliary DC power output for use with fixed speed power tools and other ancillary equipment including lighting.

TS200-RW (PADS No.

094/007031) is a portable, air-cooled, petrol driven Welder Generator rated 190A at 60% duty cycle with a 4kVA 110V CTE AC auxiliary output for running power tools.

TS300-RW (PADS No.

094/007036) is a portable diesel driven Welder Generator rated 300A at 60% duty cycle with a 110V CTE auxiliary output providing 10kVA AC power for tools and ancillary equipment, available whilst welding.

All three machines have been designed especially for a multitude of on-site work, including rail maintenance.

They are silenced to meet EEC regulations and have DC output producing smooth high quality welding characteristics using most welding electrodes including cellulosic and have stepless welding current arc controls.

Options (all Network Rail certified) for the three machines include 10m x 50mm2 heavy duty welding cables, an inline digital welding amp and volt meter, a PAR600-RW parallel welding control box to connect two MOSA Welder/Generators together and a semi-automatic 300A MIG/MAG wire feed unit.
