'Leak-Master' is designed to find leaks in individual flexible and rigid food and pharmaceutical packaging based on CO2 detection technology.
A spokesperson said: "The main savings have been in testing complete packages.
Leak-Master produces considerable savings both in time and cost over using water as a leak tester and it is also non destructive.
We are able to test more packages, which helps with our quality control requirements." Leak-Master CC Software, which was specially developed for this system, allows the producer to access the system and abstract data readings for any particular day.
This information is used for quality control, for traceability of products, a key element in today's quality environment.
Wireless LAN allows the equipment to be used in numerous locations.
