Witt Gas Techniques, has introduced a new updated version of Leak-Master, for finding leaks in individual flexible and rigid food and pharmaceutical packaging based on CO2 detection technology.

Witt Gas Techniques, the Warrington, Cheshire based gas safety, control, mixing and analysis equipment supplier has introduced a new updated version of Leak-Master, a micro-leak detection system for finding leaks in individual flexible and rigid food and pharmaceutical packaging based on CO2 detection technology Using operator friendly data entry by means of a keypad, Leak-Master uses ceramic sensors for CO2 detection, this portable precision equipment is able to detect in a few seconds, if the protective atmosphere used in packaging is escaping

The inspection is non-destructive and the use of Helium, an expensive tracer gas, is not necessary.

No skills are needed to operate 'Leak-Master' and depending on the set test parameters, it is possible to determine leaks in the order of the magnitude of 10-5 mbar l/s.

The durable stainless steel housing with a plexiglass lid has been especially designed for use in high production environments.

The measurement chamber is available in a number of different sizes to meet the demands of the packaging industry.

With the lid closed, the Leak-Master creates a vacuum and the test results are displayed on a monitor after the defined measurement time has elapsed.

Being small in size and portable, Leak-Master can be set up easily and quickly anywhere.

The operator defines the relevant product parameters, including leak level, measurement time, and vacuum level using the keypad.

Administration and analysis of data is very simple through integration with quality management systems used in food and pharmaceutical production.

Leak-Master can be interfaced to a PC or PDA via Ethernet or Wireless LAN, eliminating the need for manual data recording.
