Witt Gas Techniques ia exhibiting a wide range of gas distribution, mixing and analysis equipment for Modified Atmosphere Packaging at Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition.

Witt Gas Techniques , the Warrington based gas safety, control, mixing and analysis equipment supplier will be exhibiting a wide range of gas distribution, mixing and analysis equipment for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) on stand 5417 at Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition, being held at the NEC, Birmingham from 15-18 May 2007.

Equipment being demonstrated includes the Company's new automatic in-line micro leak detection system Leak-master Mapmax, designed to carry out automatic quality control on the entire packaging line.

It is non destructive and uses CO2 detection technology eliminating the need for costly helium testing..

A portable Leak-master micro leak detection system with a user friendly touch screen interface will be working using CO2 as a trace gas.

Designed to be used randomly directly after the packing process, the packaging is not damaged by the testing process.

The PACK-VAC leak detection system will be demonstrating leak detection using water without the need for a trace gas .

It is available in 2 versions including one with a special attachment for testing leaks from vacuum packs.

PA-O2 and PA-O2/CO2 gas analysers will demonstrate how to measure the Oxygen (O2) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) content in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).

They are designed for either continuous or intermittent analysis and have an integrated data logger for recording up to 100 measurements.

The MFA portable multi-functional gas analyser will be demonstrated showing how it can be used on the smallest of packages, requiring only a minimal gas sample to monitor the gas content.

It can be used for both continuous in-line and intermittent monitoring of O2 and CO2 levels in Protective Atmosphere Packaging (MAP).

Both the Oxybaby V and Oxybaby M, two small, hand held, gas analysers for O2 and CO2 powered by re-chargeable batteries will be on show.

These cordless, ergonomically designed, lightweight oxygen (O2) or combined oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO2) analysers are ideal for mobile random inspections of packaging on food packaging lines, in supermarkets, in warehouses or in laboratories.

The latest version of the Company's can/bottle piercer attachment will be demonstrated with Oxybaby V, to analyse the O2 and CO2 content in the headspace of soft and alcoholic drinks bottles and cans, both metal, plastic and glass, it uses an unbreakable probe with integrated needle protection to penetrate the metal or plastic lids and caps to obtain a sample.
