New Spectrum and regulatory database
features
New features are now available on the WiMAX Forum Spectrum and Regulatory Database
Additional features have now been implemented on the WiMAX Forum Spectrum and Regulatory Database which were developed to provide member companies with worldwide spectrum licensing and regulatory requirements Most of these features will be available on the forum on July 31, 2007

* Adding a personal user profile feature which will allow WiMAX Forum members to subscribe/unsubscribe in order to receive specific messages and newsletters via email.
* Alerts: subscribers will receive a notification via e-mail stating that there has been an update in the country.
* E-newsletter: subscribers will receive a monthly newsletter stating the latest news concerning WiMAX technology in the worldwide market.
* Information on regional organisations will also be included in the database.
Since the official launch of the WiMAX Spectrum and Regulatory Database, a total of 165 countries have been included on it.
"The Database continues to be a useful and popular tool," said WiMAX Forum Regulatory Working Group chair, Tim Hewitt.
"I am confident that these additional features will further enhance its value to WiMAX Forum Members and will also prove useful to the growing number of regulator observers involved with our activities.
We have received endorsement from a number of WiMAX Forum members, stating the high quality of the database and the accuracy of the information".
Fernando Hardasmal, AT4 wireless deputy general director, said: "The renewal of the contract for the maintenance of the database information will increase the usefulness of the database and it will help us to track any future changes in relation to WiMAX technology.
The new features also will provide added value by allowing users to have access in real-time to any important change updated in the database, as well as been able to react to public consultations, licensing auctions and other important events.".
