'Strassmann' feature continued in
milling cutters
An extensive range of high performance serrated ripper cutters, each featuring the unique 'Strassmann' 36 degree helix angle, meet a wide range of rough milling needs.
In much the same way as Hoover and JCB became generic names, Strassmann was similarly the byword for quality and high performance metal removal when it came to milling cutters This was about to be consigned to the history books, following the closure of the manufacturing plant

Precision boring tools perform roughing, finishing
Precision modular boring tools provide users with roughing and finish boring capability through an extensive range of modular couplings and extensions.
But, thanks to the intervention of WNT, users can continue to benefit from the unique properties of these cutters.
Working closely with one of its major suppliers WNT has developed an extensive range of high performance serrated ripper cutters, each featuring the unique 'Strassmann' 36 degree helix angle.
To meet a wide variety of applications the cutters are available in several variants, including Type WR - rough milling of soft and long chipping materials; Type NTS - rough milling of materials up to 800N/mm tensile strength; Type NTR - rough/finish milling with trapezoidal chip breakers; Type NTI - rough milling of stainless, corrosion and acid resistant materials; Type HS - rough milling of cast iron and nickel alloys.
The use of powder steel HSS in the manufacture of the Type NTI, NTS and HS provides improved rupture and torsional strength, which in turn results in higher feedrates.
And, as with the full WNT product range these cutters will be available for next-day before noon delivery - guaranteed. Request a free brochure from WNT (UK) ...
