Carbide drills down to 1mm have through
coolant

Self-centring solid carbide drills with through coolant - as small as 1mm diameter - have a new flute geometry that ensures optimum swarf control and evacuation.

As part of WNT's Mastertool range WTX Mini series of solid carbide drillis available in diameters between 1.0 and 2.9mm diameter in increments of 0.1mm, with each drill being available, as standard, in three lengths: 5D, 8D and 12D More remarkably is the fact that even the smallest diameter drill is available with through tool coolant

These self-centring drills have been developed in conjunction with a completely new flute geometry that ensures optimum swarf control and evacuation, a critical element when drilling holes of this diameter and length.

Suitable for machining a wide range of materials the drills manufactured from micro-grain carbide and are coated with WNT's Ti 700 multi-layer coating.

"As with all product developments from WNT the target is to provide a cost-effective solution," said Glenn Stanton. Request a free brochure from WNT (UK) ...
