Tooling specialist reports healthy UK
sales

Tooling specialist, WNT (UK) said that the first quarter of 2006 has been extremely good and sales so far this year are in line with the budgeted 24% growth the company had set itself.

The trend of continued quarter on quarter sales growth continues at Sheffield-based tooling specialist WNT (UK) During 2005 WNT (UK) achieved record sales in every month and so far in 2006 the trend is continuing with sales growing faster than the previous year

"The first quarter of 2006 has been extremely good for WNT (UK)," said Tony Pennington, WNT (UK)'s managing director.

"The UK market still has a lot of potential growth for our business and our sales so far this year are in line with the budgeted 24% growth that we set ourselves at the beginning of the year.

In order to capitalise on that potential we will continue to develop our product portfolio and the way in which we service and support our customer base here in the UK." Pennington continued: "In the second half of this year we will see a number of new and innovative cutting tools being introduced and we will see major developments particularly in solid carbide tooling. To support these changes and improvements we will see further additions made to what is already one of the largest teams of technical sales engineers in the UK, with new recruits joining WNT (UK) in Southern Ireland and the south west of England to expand our presence in these areas and further recruitment in the north east and west midlands.".
