Modular boring system covers wide
diameter range
A modular multi-head boring system has a number of boring bars/bridges to achieve a required diameter using fine adjustment from a single spindle head.

Small to medium-sized sub-contractors are also able to greatly reduce their tooling inventories by stocking just one head and a variety of boring bars and bridging units.
As with most WNT tooling, these items are available ex-stock, for delivery next day, and before lunchtime if ordered before 18.30 previous day.
The precision and stability of the WNT Swiss Tools, said WNT to manufacturingtalk.com, is enhanced by the use of hard anodised aluminium bridges and precision machined components.
These deliver high levels of accuracy and repeatability.
Other features include through coolant across the range and compatibility with other WNT Swiss Tools precision tool systems.
The Multi-Head system is available as individual catalogue items or can be purchased as a boxed kit to provide a complete boring system for bores from 9.75mm to 164mm.
The diameter range can then be increased from 3mm to 302mm when required by the purchase of additional boring bars and bridges, etc.
