WNT upgrades MSS-SXhighlight parting range

A WNT product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jan 28, 2009

WNT has introduced a version of the MSS-SXhighlight aimed at smaller lathes, with 26mm blades instead of 32mm ones.

An M1 chipformer has also replaced the M2 chipformer.

The stable cutting edge of the M1 is suited to machining higher strength materials while delivering perfectly controlled swarf and process stability.

Available in left- and right-handed styles, the new parters can produce either pipless parts or barstock, depending on the customer's preference.

WNT has also introduced a range of MSS modules that fit onto a varied range of toolholders, including round shank holders for internal work.

This modular approach to parting and grooving provides users with the same interface for all of their parting, grooving and threading applications.
