The business case for using recycled PET plastic in packaging will be demonstrated at a WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) conference to be held on February 6, 2007 'The Opportunity for Recycled PET in Retail Packaging' event is open to those involved in the manufacture, supply, retailing and recycling of PET packaging and will feature talks from organisations such as The Coca Cola Company, Amcor, Marks and Spencer, the Food Standards Agency, Nextek, Recoup and WRAP

Peter Skelton, from WRAP's retail team, said: "The conference will highlight the potential for the widespread use of recycled PET in retail packaging by showcasing high profile and practical examples and informing the sector of significant changes in the availability and supply of food grade recycled PET.
PET is one of the most common packaging materials for food and drink and by using recycled content, the industry can gain significant commercial and business advantages." The event will take place from 10.00am to 4.00pm at One Whitehall Place, London (UK).
