Symergy expands composite fabrication facility

Synergy Composites has invested in several specialised pieces of equipment, including an autoclave, a cleanroom and co-ordinate measuring machine.

The equipment will be dedicated to developing the company's composite capability.

The autoclave will be used to manufacture advanced composite components.

It can achieve a maximum temperature of 450C and is capable of very high pressures (300lb/in2).

The autoclave has been specifically purchased to provide research and development plus production capability.

The company has also invested in an aerospace-specified class 7 cleanroom and 3m long x 4.2m wide x 1m high co-ordinate measuring machine.
