His tasks here will include overseeing the re-design of the brand and the introduction of a new portfolio of products.
Smart Cat is a range of environmentally friendly, wood-based cat litter pellets, and was the first of its kind to be manufactured in the UK.
They are made from wood flour and contain no glue or other chemical additives.
Since first making the wood pellet version, the range has expanded to include Smart Cat paper litter., bedding and shavings.
Turner comments, "I am relishing the challenges and opportunities that my new role at WTL International will bring as we explore new applications for wood-based and other natural by-products., taking WTL forward into further profitability." He added: "The company already operates in a number of interesting product sectors, such as pet products, organic filter aids, wood plastics composites wood pellets for heating systems, natural fillers and abrasives, extenders extenders and gelling agents." Married with a 23 year old son, In 2001 Turner graduated with an MBA from Warwick Business School in 2001, and in his spare time Dave enjoys watching football and is a passionate West Ham football fan.
