Transmission roller chain offers longer life
Transmission roller chain has solid rollers, manufactured to achieve an extremely high surface hardness, and to ensure high wear resistance in hostile environments as well as improving chain life.
Due to differing lengths and varying levels of elongation, matched sets of V-belts will always have an unequal distribution of tension and load.
This inevitably leads to uneven wear and premature failure.
The Conti-V Multirib series however, has the strength needed to replace entire matched sets with one single belt, ensuring uniform tension and load throughout the drive system.
This results in an extended operating life, a reduction in downtime as well as inventory costs.
Permitting high single stage transmission ratios of up to 1:40, the belts allow designers to reduce the size of pulley wheels, making power transmission assemblies more compact, easier to protect and more reliable.
High fatigue strength under reverse bending further extends operating life, especially in back-tension rollers applications.
Reverse bending stresses with frequencies up to 120Hz can be tolerated and belt materials allow for both dynamic stress and high running speeds of up to 60m/s.
For applications where drives are subjected to high levels of stressing and counter flexing, there are PL and PM profile belts available with capped tips and load bearing members which can withstand 50% more stressing than standard versions.
Wyko also offer an on-site cutting service and have a purpose built distribution centre, which offers a bespoke cutting service, ensuring that every belt width is available from stock with a fraction of the usual lead-time.
The complete series of ContiTech drive belts form part of Wyko's comprehensive range of power transmission products and services available from over 170 local branches nationwide. Request a free brochure from Eriks UK ...
