Planetary gearheads offer smooth running
Helically geared, low-backlash planetary gearheads achieve torques of up to 6000Nm in single and two-stage gear head configurations for smoother running.
Alpha getriebebau, a member of the Wittenstein group, has added two high-end products to round off its portfolio of low-backlash planetary gearheads The helical-toothed large SP+ 210 / SP+240 gearhead and the TP+ 300 / TP+ 500 achieve torques of up to 6000Nm in single and two-stage gearheads

As a result, state-of-the-art alpha technology is now also being used in large modules.
The '+' series of alpha low-backlash planetary gearheads has long enjoyed a reputation in the industry for extreme precision and intelligent design.
The benefits of innovative helical teeth, smoother running, improved synchronism and higher torques are patently obvious - alpha+ gearheads provide higher productivity and added safety in production operations.

The reliability of alpha gearheads has also been enhanced thanks to optimised components - both in terms of materials and geometries.
The simplified motor mounting system has also proved highly effective and has reduced assembly times and customer inception periods.
This also means, of course, that the service lives of systems are extended with customers profiting from the added value the machines offer in the form of additional productivity.
The Plus gearhead family is now complete - alpha getriebebau has now integrated all these advantages in its new series of large gearheads.
The completed + series enables alpha customers to select products from the entire spectrum of alpha technology for applications from 50Nm up to 6000Nm, with torsional backlashes of <6' or just <1', and all ratios from 3:1 to 100:1.
The SP+210/240 gearhead technical features are as follows.
* Alpha optimised helical teeth.
* Output torque increased to 4500Nm.
* Noise emissions reduced to 69dB(A).
* Significantly higher axial and radial forces.
* Torques of 30Nm to 4500Nm.
* Ratios from 3:1 to 100:1.
The TP+ 300/TP+ 500 gearhead technical features are as follows.
* Alpha optimised helical teeth.
* More than noticeable increase in torsional stiffness.
* Torques of 50Nm to 6000Nm.
* Single-stage now also available.
User benefits include the following.
* Downsizing with alpha+ technology.
* Minimized energy consumption (alpha+ -planetary gearheads provide optimised efficiency).
* Optimised smooth running (alpha+ -helical teeth).
* Both series are available in all dimensions within a standard delivery period following market launch.
* Implementation of industry-driven and custom-tailored modifications.
