Innovatest Europe BV, a manufacturer of high-end hardness-testing systems, has unveiled its latest product for low- and medium-force hardness-testing tasks.
The Nexus series comprises Micro, Macro, Vickers, Knoop and Brinell hardness-testing systems in one tester.
The patent-pending, closed-loop, force feedback system of the Nexus allows a novel load selection ranging from 20gf to 50kgf.
The testers' gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GRandR) are claimed to be unmatched in the field of Vickers hardness testing.
The Nexus offers many additional functions, such as conversion to all common hardness scales and to Leeb (dynamic hardness testing) and UTS (tensile strength).
It also offers customers an upgrade program, which keeps the tester up to date in case of new firmware releases.
As an option, the tester can be upgraded with different force applications even years after the instrument has been purchased.
The Nexus series is the first of a new generation of products developed and manufactured by Innovatest in the Netherlands and is covered by a three-year limited guarantee.
