XYZ appoints Axis Machine Tools as Scottish agent

XYZ Machine Tools has entered into a joint venture with a Scottish machine tool company to demonstrate its commitment to the Scottish market and to further develop its presence there.

Axis Machine Tools, which has been established in Glasgow for over ten years, will be offering the full XYZ range of machines, including VMCs, all with solid induction hardened slides, the new XYZ Mini Mill VMCs, manual and ProtoTRAK CNC turret Mills, manual and ProTURN CNC lathes, turning centres, surface grinders, saws and Fast Tap tapping units and will provide full service and support to XYZ machines throughout Scotland.

Axis has gained an excellent reputation as a service and maintenance based company, with over a hundred companies relying upon it to keep their machines working accurately and trouble free.

A 1500ft2 showroom is being opened in Glasgow in early September to allow potential customers to see first hand the quality and range of machine tools on offer by XYZ, and open days will be held on the 1st and 2nd October 2003 to officially open the showroom.

John Morning, with fourteen years of machine tool experience, joins Axis to bring additional sales skills to the company.
