XYZ Machine Tools will be marking 21 years in business with three consecutive open days - beginning Thursday, 19 May 2005 - at its Tiverton headquarters, which is situated adjacent to the picturesque Blackdown Hills and within easy reach of Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Devon coastal resorts.

Contributing to these attractions is an offer of one night's free accommodation at a local hotel, limited to one room per company.

The recently extended 60,000ft2 facility on the Woodlands Business Park will be the venue for the introduction of several exciting additions to XYZ's product portfolio.

These include the new Mini Mill 450 - a smaller version of the best-selling Mini Mill 560; a new CNC bridge mill; the new ProTURN VL 555 - a 'big bore' version of the ProTURN VL 425 manual/CNC lathe; the new E Mill and E Turn low cost manual machines; and possibly the new twin spindle, twin turret turning centre.

Visitors will also be eligible for a special 0% over 21 months finance offer on machine tool purchases, and will also have the opportunity to see behind the scenes of one of the UK's leading machine tool distributors.

Recent in-house events at the Nuneaton, Blackburn and Devon showrooms attracted several hundred visitors and this, together with the company's participation in the Autosport Engineering, Southern Manufacturing and Medical Device Technology exhibitions, has contributed to what XYZ's Managing Director, Nigel Atherton, describes as a very encouraging level of orders.

In fact, February 2005 has provided the highest monthly order intake since June 1998.

"This is why," he says, " the May open days will be celebrating a promising future as well as a memorable past".

"It will also be an appropriate time to emphasise XYZ's continuing commitment to its original objective of providing high quality, value for money machines backed by the highest standards of after-sales service, training and product advice." Anyone interested in attending one of the three May open days is invited to contact Nigel Atherton or Kerry Kidd, XYZ's National Sales Manager.

Alternatively, machine tool demonstrations can take place at any one of XYZ's five UK showrooms.
