XYZ Machine Tools will be highlighting examples from its range of affordable and easy to program CNC machine tools at Tooling 2001 on Stand 1162.
He began his career in machine tools with the Newall Machine Tool Group, later part of the B Elliott Group, and prior to his move to XYZ was Sales and Marketing Director of digital readout and linear encoder specialist Newall Measurement Systems.
This new appointment, says Nigel Atherton, XYZ's Managing Director, is: "A significant boost for the ambitious plans we have for bringing sales in Europe into line with our UK achievement." For his part Massam says he is: "Delighted to accept the new challenge offered by XYZ." In his new role he will be responsible for devising marketing strategies, co-ordinating promotional activities and establishing distribution channels within individual countries, as well as promoting the company's corporate objectives within Europe.
A fluent French and German speaker, Massam has extensive experience of overseas markets, most recently involving the emerging market of China.
He will now concentrate his attention on XYZ's key export markets of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, ensuring that new and existing customers are fully aware of the Devon company's value-for-money machine tool and control system products and the high quality of its after-sales service and support.
Recent additions to XYZ Machine Tools' product range include machines at both ends of the size spectrum.
The new Mini Mill 450, which is a smaller version of the best-selling Mini Mill 560 compact vertical machining centre, and the new low cost E-Turn and E-Mill manual machines have now been joined by a three-model range of CNC bridge milling machines, the largest of which has a 2030mm by 3810mm table, and large capacity flat bed CNC lathes with a maximum 1500mm swing over bed and up to 10m between centres.
Established XYZ products include manual/CNC ProTURN lathes and ProtoTRAK bed and turret mills, as well as turning and machining centres - the former available with driven tooling and the latter with a five-axis capability. Request free introductory details about products from XYZ Machine Tools ...
