Large CNC lathes to be got for attractive prices
Value for money CNC machine tool specialist, XYZ Machine Tools in Devon, has expanded its range of CNC lathes with the introduction of the Vulcan series of turning centres.
This option, which offers significantly reduced set-up times and fixturing requirements, is another example of XYZ's continuing emphasis on supplying customers with affordable and productive metal cutting technology.
XYZ Machine Tools, which is the leading supplier of CNC machine tools to the UK market, has also included an automatic pallet changer in its product portfolio.
With a load capacity of up to 3600kg, the XYZ APC makes light work of the loading and unloading of heavy or large workpieces.
It is capable of a positioning repeatability of +/-0.0025mm and can be interfaced quickly and easily with a CNC machine tool using two M functions.
This means it can be moved easily from machine to machine if work flows demand.
When machining is completed the precision-engineered servo drive assembly extends into the machining centre to tilt and engage with the pallet coupler in order to remove the pallet from the machining area.
The next pallet is then delivered into the machine, with the operator free to further optimise performance by programming the acceleration/deceleration of the pallet to suit the weight of the workpiece and its associated fixturing.
To ensure safe operation a keypad provides password protected access and, if required, the XYZ APC can be supplied with an optional three-sided safety enclosure that prevents pallet change if any one of the three doors is opened. Request a free brochure from XYZ Machine Tools ...
