Machine tool supplier appoints manager

In the latest chapter in a varied career with XYZ Machine Tools, Martin Burton has been appointed Manufacturing and Quality Manager Since joining XYZ as an apprentice in 1989 Martin, who began by fitting digital readouts and ProtoTRAK CNCs, has worked as a service engineer and, since the mid 90s, as area sales manager for the southwest of England

We do have complete traceability in place but quality is also about change.
Customers, and our sales, applications and service people, have very good ideas about ways to improve machine performance and extend service life.
I see my role as making sure their comments are listened to, evaluated and, when appropriate, implemented.
