Add-on accessories reduce set-up times
Add-on accessories to existing machine tools include a trunnion rotary table for 5-axis machining and a retrofitable automatic pallet changer with a positioning repeatability of +/-0.0025mm.
Five-axis machining is now available across XYZ Machine Tools' range of compact vertical machining centres and larger VMC models A trunnion table fitted to the machine's existing table is interfaced with the control system to provide a simultaneous five-axis capability for both simple five-sided machining and more complex geometric forms

This means it can be moved easily from machine to machine if workflows demand.
When machining is completed the precision-engineered servo drive assembly extends into the machining centre to tilt and engage with the pallet coupler in order to remove the pallet from the machining area.

To ensure safe operation a keypad provides password protected access and, if required, the XYZ APC can be supplied with an optional three-sided safety enclosure that prevents pallet change if any one of the three doors is opened.
