Machine tool orders placed at UK
Autosport show
At the UK's recent Autosport show, orders were placed on the stand of XYZ Machine Tools for a 'mini-mill' compact vertical machining centre and a combination lathe.
This year's UK Autosport Engineering exhibition provided XYZ Machine Tools of Burlescombe, Devon, with an excellent opportunity to highlight a metal cutting product range ideally suited to the prototype and small batch production requirements of the motor sport industry and its suppliers The response, according to Nigel Atherton, XYZ's managing director, exceeded pre-show expectations

Most of the components on this one-off masterpiece were machined on Roger Allmond's XYZ ProtoTRAK SMX 2000 turret mill and XYZ ProTURN 355 lathe, demonstrating that these manual/CNC machines are an ideal choice for one-off and prototype work.
Having for many years provided motor sport customers with manual/CNC mills and lathes equipped with the easy-to-program ProtoTRAK control, XYZ also took the opportunity at Autosport Engineering 2007 to promote its full-CNC range of machine tools.
