XYZ's order intake from this year's series of open days has exceeded GBP1.25m.
Despite the credit crunch, Nigel Atherton, XYZ's managing director, said the company remains on target to match last year's record turnover.
'Some orders have been cancelled or put on hold by larger companies, but this has been countered by the subcontracting sector, which continues to be busy.
Making its UK debut at the XYZ open days was an addition to XYZ's portfolio of mills, machining centres, lathes, turning centres and surface grinding machines.
The Proturn Elx 1440 5hp, 2,400rpm lathe is equipped with the entry-level Prototrak Elx control system, at a price of GBP12,000.
