US machine tool builder Fadal will be putting five vertical machining centres, including the new large VMC 6535, through their paces on its stand at the forthcoming EMO exhibition.
Tong Tai produces a complete range of quality machines designed in Japan (following various technical co-operation agreements with leading Japanese machine tool companies over the years) and manufactured in Taiwan.
It has also set-up Topper Europe, based in Holland, which offers a huge stock of machines with many models available ex-stock.
Matchmaker M/C will be able to tap into this large supply of machine tools and offer its customers immediate delivery on a wide range of equipment.
Matchmaker M/C will be handling sales of all Topper machines in the UK - lathes, machining centres and tapping centres - and providing full technical support and service back-up.
Two models are currently being demonstrated at the company's headquarters in Leatherhead: the TNL-120 AL (2) CNC lathe and the QVM 1100 high speed vertical machining centre.
Brief specification of the Topper TNL-120 AL includes: a maximum swing of 420mm diameter, a component capacity of up to 300mm diameter by 600mm long, a 12-station turret, a 15kW spindle motor, a tailstock (with 600mm stroke), a standard bar capacity of 65mm diameter (optionally 75mm) and a Fanuc 18i TB control system.
Spindle speeds range from 25 to 2500 rev/min (optionally 35 to 3500 rev/min) and rapid traverse rates are up to 24m/min.
The lathe is being offered as a package complete with bar feed.
While outline details of the QVM 1100 VMC include: axis travels of 1100 (X) by 600 (Y) by 500mm (Z), rapid traverses of 40m/min, 12,000 or 20,000 rev/min spindle, 24 station ATC (optionally 40) and a load carrying capacity of 500kg.
With its heavy cast construction and high speed operation, this advanced machine is ideal for tool and mould type work.
Control is from a Fanuc 18i system.
With the whole new family of Topper equipment added to its already successful range of CNC machine tools, Matchmaker M/C will be able to offer even more cost effective and productive solutions to manufacturing industry.
