Display systems fabrication qualifies to ISO 9001
Leading retail display systems manufacturer has joined the first wave of companies working towards compliance with the new ISO 9001: 2000 quality standard.
Managing director Stuart Bishop said the company is ready for expansion.
"We have been serving a whole range of businesses seeking specialist metal items for over 30 years, but we are outgrowing our existing premises.
This new site provides us with the ability to install the very latest equipment so we can provide the best possible service to our existing and new customers." Among state-of-the-art equipment in the new factory is the Amada EM2510NT - claimed to be the world's fastest CNC punch press.
This is believed to be the first use of this new machine in the UK.
Another piece of equipment new to the UK is the Amada TBZ panel bender.
This is a radical departure from conventional automatic bending systems, according to Yellowpatter's production director John Tewsley: "This equipment is very flexible, allowing us to make changes to its program and also checking the profile of the fabricated part automatically.
Using it, we can bend steel from 180 deg to 45 deg up or down, as well as hemming and radius bending.
What is more, it can switch to new products without losing time for set-up or warm-up - another saving for our customers - it can even fabricate a rolled hinge." A custom-designed unified pre-treatment and painting line has also been installed, further automating processes, providing for faster throughput, reduced costs and a high-quality finish.
