Yamazaki to stage 'EMO Encore' for UK buyers
UK buyers and specifiers of machine tools who were unable to attend the EMO exhibition can view and assess new Mazak machine tools at Yamazaki Machinery, Worcester, January 29-February 1.
Having now completed his engineering apprenticeship with machine tool builder Yamazaki Mazak UK, Brown is responsible on his shift for the smooth running of the Integrex 300 FMS line at the Worcester factory.
This involves him in all aspects of the machining process, such as setting and programming of the machines and the inspection of machined components used in the assembly of the 100 or so CNC machine tools dispatched from Mazak's European headquarters every month.
"I was always encouraging friends at school to consider engineering as a career option," says Brown, "But it is difficult to convince young people that engineering has a lot to offer".
"I know there are plenty of career opportunities here at Mazak, because there are always progressive changes being made to the manufacturing environment, and I intend to continue gaining valuable experience in all aspects of the manufacture of machine tools." However, Brown, who has an Ordinary National Certificate in Mechanical and Production Engineering and a NVQ level 3 certificate, does not devote all his time to engineering.
A fishing and clay pigeon shooting enthusiast, he also plays keyboards, although he admits he does not practice as much as he should. Request free introductory details about products from Yamazaki Mazak UK ...
