UK machine tool plant exports 90% of
output
Yamazaki Mazak's business-buoyant UK plant reports that a total more than 15 000 machines have been manufactured at the UK facility, 90% of which have been exported to 30 countries.
With production more than doubling in the past three years at Yamazaki Mazak's 'Cyber Manufacturing Plant', the future of machine tool manufacturing looks bright as Mazak enters its 20th year of production in the UK Production levels have been boosted with the introduction of new models and a continuing increase in demand for the company's products across Europe, with the first half of 2006 generating record order levels

In total more than 15 000 machines have been manufactured at the UK facility, 90% of which have been exported to 30 countries.

Mazak machines its castings, makes its own spindles, its own turrets and magazines and its own sheet metal covers.
A fourth expansion to the factory is currently underway to increase capacity and invest in new manufacturing equipment.
