The combination of the Y-axis and 4500 rev/min, 5.5kW rotary tool spindle will also emphasise the complexity of the components that can be machined.
The depth of the machine tool range available from Yamazaki Mazak has ensured that all sectors of the motorsport world are catered for, said the company to manufacturingtalk.com, whether they are a small sub-contractor or a leading Formula One team.
For example, Mazak is an Official Supplier to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.
Mazak has installed 15 CNC machine tools at the team's headquarters in Woking, Surrey, including a number of Integrex multi-tasking machines.
