Yamazaki to stage 'EMO Encore' for UK buyers
UK buyers and specifiers of machine tools who were unable to attend the EMO exhibition can view and assess new Mazak machine tools at Yamazaki Machinery, Worcester, January 29-February 1.
October 2007 saw the production and despatch of 166 machine tools.
"When we completed the most recent expansion of manufacturing at Worcester, the planned capacity was 150 machines per month," said Richard Austin, Yamazaki Mazak's general manager-Direct Production.
"We have been able to meet the increased demand because of an increase in orders for our Nexus two-axis lathes.
These require less time to manufacture and this has the effect of increasing capacity.
We have also installed additional production systems to further streamline the manufacturing process".
Following the latest expansion at its Worcester, UK, factory, Yamazaki Mazak Corporation has embarked on a review of the next phase of development at its European headquarters and manufacturing facility.
Mazak fully expects this level of business to continue, especially given the interest in existing machines and, specifically, the inquiries at EMO and the recent EMO Encore events for new models, some of which will be manufactured at Worcester.
"As a result we are already discussing the next phase of expansion for the manufacturing capacity here at Worcester," said Austin. Request free introductory details about products from Yamazaki Mazak UK ...
