Yamazaki to stage 'EMO Encore' for UK buyers
UK buyers and specifiers of machine tools who were unable to attend the EMO exhibition can view and assess new Mazak machine tools at Yamazaki Machinery, Worcester, January 29-February 1.
* Complete machining - the Mazak Integrex range is central to the company's 'Done in One' manufacturing concept, whereby components are machined complete in a single machine set-up wherever possible.
Yamazaki told manufacturingtalk.com that system allows lead times to be greatly reduced.
At the same time it reduces dramatically the value of work in progress, the number of machine tools required and the overall manpower levels.

Yamazaki Mazak's Southern Regional manager, Chris Goodall, said: "Yamazaki Mazak has always been at the forefront of multi-function machine development and the concept of Done in One was originated by us.
We are, therefore, extremely pleased that this concept is now being considered as a cost-effective option for many small- to medium-sized companies.
Our range of machines offers a cost-effective solution to the machining of virtually any component." Goodall said that the Vertical Centre Nexus 510C-II machining centre has been designed to provide a combination of technology and productivity, and provides a level of performance not normally attributed to machines in this class.
Goodall added: "To achieve this it makes full use of Yamazaki Mazak's 6th generation CNC system, Mazatrol Matrix.
This state-of-the-art control system is enhanced by its ease-of-use, highlighted by the QWERTY keyboard, large CNC display screen, and the choice of using Mazatrol conversational or EIA/ISO programming methods".
The machine, components and operator also benefit from the integration of Mazak's Intelligent machine functions such as Intelligent Safety Shield, Virtual Machining, Mazak Voice Advisor, Intelligent Thermal Shield and Active Vibration Control.
The VCN 510C-II features the following.
* A 1300mm x 550mm table.
* A 12,000 rev/min, 18.5kW (25HP), 40 taper spindle.
* A 30 position toolchanger (60 position option).
* A 1.3s chip-to-chip toolchange.
* 36 m/min maximum feedrates in all axes. Request a free brochure from Yamazaki Mazak UK ...
