Dust monitor combines stability and
durability
Using a direct insertion sensor, a dust monitor combines stability and durability for long-term maintenance-free operation in applications such as electrostatic precipitationor dust recovery.
The new Model DT400G dust monitor from Yokogawa combines stability and durability for long-term maintenance-free operation in applications such as electrostatic precipitation, powder transport and dust recovery The new instrument incorporates a direct insertion sensor that operates on the friction electrostatic principle, where static electricity resulting from dust impacts on the probe is converted to a 4-20mADC output current

Control and measurement stations have PID
The new Yokogawa CX1000 and CX2000 are a range of control and measurement stations based on the company's Daqstation family of paperless recorders wwith added PID control functions.
In operation, the DT400G provides continuous online monitoring of the concentration of almost any type of solid particle in moving gas streams.
Unlike instruments based on light beams and optical sensors, operation is unaffected by dust deposits or distortion of the duct through which the dust particles pass.
The resulting output stability, combined with the instrument's durability in harsh environments, means that it is virtually maintenance-free.
In addition, the integrated design of the sensor and convertor allows easy installation.
Typical applications include monitoring of electrostatic precipitators in the power and cement industries; detection of bag filter breakages in spray drier installations; monitoring of powder transport systems to detect blockages; and cyclone overflow detection in the fertiliser, mining and ceramics industries.
The unit will operate at temperatures of up to 200degC, pressures of up to 200kPa, gas flow speeds from 4m/s to 30m/s, and humidity of 40% maximum.
It will detect particles of 0.3micron or larger, and can measure concentrations from 0.1mg/m1/2 to 1kg/m1/2.
The DG400T operates from 90-110 and 180-250VAC power supplies at 50 or 60Hz, and offers a choice of socket or flange mounting configurations.
