WCDMA signal-generation utility supports
HSUPA
A WCDMA signal-generation utility that supports HSUPA as defined in 3GPP Release 6 is now available for use with Yokogawa arbitrary waveform generators.
A WCDMA signal-generation utility that supports HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) as defined in 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) Release 6 is now available for use with Yokogawa arbitrary waveform generators including the VB8000, VB8300 and VG3000E/6000 with AG option The new utility also supports HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) that was defined in the earlier 3GPP Release 5

Optical spectrum analyser has high resolution
Optical spectrum analyser combines a wide wavelength range of 1200 to 2400nm with high resolution between 50pm and 2nm and high sensitivity of -70 dBm or better.
The software, which runs on a standard PC, generates up to 256 channels of multiplexed data which is used by the signal generator to produce the appropriate waveform.
The inclusion of HSUPA makes the new utility attractive for organisations developing the latest generation of 3G products, who need instruments that generate these signals to aid the development of receiver circuits.
The Yokogawa software is particularly flexible, and allows signals to be manipulated very easily.
As a result, the user can test several 'what if?' scenarios.
This software incorporates both frame data generation and multiplex data generation utilities.
The frame data generation utility generates symbol data (frame data) or burst control data, while the multiplex data generation utility generates waveform data and performs processing such as coding, interleaving and mapping, according to the WCDMA 3GPP specification.
There are two frame data generation utilities.
The first generates the HSDPA downlink channel and the second all the other channels.
To generate the waveform data, frames for each of the required channels are created using the frame data generation utility, and these frames are then multiplexed using the multiplex data generation utility.
The software supports HSUPA rates of up to 960 kbit/s per user, and incorporates selectable scrambling code and channelisation code as well as space/time block coding based transmit antenna diversity (STTD).
It allows controlling corresponding HS-SCCHs and HS-DSCHs signals in units of transport blocks using scenarios, and HARQ-ACK and CQI that are mapped to HS-DPCCH can be varied for each subframe.
Code domain power is from 0 to -60 dB, and ratio of oversamples is 1:16.
Other capabilities include frame offset, peak factor (with clipping), a quadrature error from -30deg to +30deg, and Nyquist, root Nyquist and through filtering.
