Platforms offer an alternative to stepladders
Zarges UK is introducing the Sherpamatic and Sherpascopic work platforms to satisfy the demand for alternatives to stepladders in line with the Working at Height Regulations.
"Hire outlets must of necessity provide equipment which meets the standards demanded by the regulations.
"Similarly it must be robust enough to meet and withstand the wide variety of uses to which it is put.
"As a result we have found that the Masterstep, which is lightweight, stable and very easy to move, has increasingly become the first choice in many warehouses".
Available with one or two handrails the Masterstep is designed specifically with warehouse order-picking in mind.
The lightweight structure allows easy and safe movement so that the steps can be relocated quickly while ensuring maximum stability when erected.
Spring-loaded castors are provided on the mobile version which requires no brakes but has additional locking bars.
With a large 400mm x 400mm platform, Masterstep also has a 400mm x 200mm folding tray.
The step rungs are 80mm deep with serrated surfaces and non-slip rubber inserts.
Nylon safety straps are also standard on both models.
Both models of Masterstep are available from 3 to 10 treads (platform heights of 0.78 to 2.59m).
