Former COO becomes CEO at e-business
specialist

Manchester-based Zendor, the fulfilment and e-business specialist, has appointed a new Chief Executive, Nick Allen.

Manchester-based Zendor, the fulfilment and e-business specialist owned by home shopping giant N Brown, has appointed a new Chief Executive, Nick Allen Allen's new role means he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Zendor, ensuring the company continues to meet clients' needs and exceed their expectations to ensure complete satisfaction

"I am joining at an exciting time and look forward to helping make Zendor an even greater success," says Allen.

"Zendor provides the opportunity to take up the best challenges associated with our industry - joining a strong team, with an excellent client portfolio, at a time of significant potential growth." Allen's involvement in the home shopping industry began in senior accountancy roles, developing into Directorships with responsibility for a number of businesses.

He initiated and developed the e-commerce strategy at Grattan plc, and was appointed Chairman of Tesco Home Shopping as part of the joint venture he developed with them.

Most recently, Allen served as Director of Harrods Mail Order and Online Shopping.

Nick Allen is already familiar with of the Zendor team, having previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Allen rejoins Zendor as Chief Executive in February 2004, replacing Keith Basnett, who is departing to take up his new position as Managing Director of the UK's largest independent mobile communications company, to head up their fixed line telephone business.

Alan White, Chief Executive of N Brown explains, "Nick has extensive home shopping experience from senior roles at GUS, Grattan and Harrods.

Zendor's strong place in the market, combined with Nick's skills and experience, mean that Zendor is well positioned to move forward into a highly successful period." Zendor was launched in 1999, as a joint venture between N Brown and G E Capital.

Since the launch, the Company has experienced year-on-year growth and is now one of the leading players in the supply of multi-channel distance selling solutions in the UK.
